Report: Spurs could offer Southampton two players in possible Livramento swap

CalcioMercato have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur could offer Southampton the chance to sign two of their players as part of a deal to bring Tino Livramento to North London.

Livramento has had an impressive first season at the South Coast since leaving Chelsea to join the Saints in a £5m deal last summer (Goal).

Football Insider reported last week that Antonio Conte is keen to sign a new right wing-back in the summer and that Tottenham’s managing director of football Fabio Paratici has identified Livarmento as the number one target.

The report asserted that Spurs already made ‘preliminary moves’ to snap up the 19-year-old in the summer but added that it will take a ‘mega money’ deal to convince Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men to part ways with the teenager.

CalcioMercato have now backed up the information about Tottenham’s interest in Livramento ahead of the summer transfer window.

They add that Spurs would be willing to offer the Saints the chance to sign Harry Winks or Cameron Carter-Vickers as part of the deal.

Winks has had a resurgence since Conte arrived at Tottenham but the 25-year-old has not been able to establish himself as a regular in the starting eleven.

Meanwhile, Carter-Vickers has had an outstanding campaign on loan at Celtic, with the Scottish giants having the option to sign the centre-back permanently for £10m including add-ons (TEAMtalk).

Spurs Web Opinion

Paratici seems to be quite fond of the idea of doing swap/part-exchange deals. So, I would not be surprised if Spurs did offer Southampton a few of their players.

However, swap deals rarely ever come off as it is difficult for all parties to agree on the move. We will likely have to pay upwards of £30m to sign Livramento this summer, given the season he is having at St Mary’s.
