Report: Spurs could reignite interest as target is available for just £40m this summer

According to talkSPORT, Nice’s asking price for Tottenham target Jean-Clair Todibo is set to drop considerably this summer.

Todibo’s stock has risen considerably since the centre-back returned to France in 2021 following his unsuccessful spell at Barcelona.

The 24-year-old is now seen as one of the most talented young defenders in French football, with his solid displays at the back being a key reason why Nice boast of the best defence in Ligue 1 this season.

Cut-price deal for Jean-Clair Todibo

It has now been suggested by talkSPORT that Tottenham could reignite their interest in Todibo this summer following their failed January move for the defender.

Furthermore, it is asserted that the France international could be sold by Nice for a cut-price fee of just £40m at the end of this season.

However, Spurs are not the only ones allegedly eyeing the centre-half, who is also thought to be on the radars of Manchester United.

In fact, it is asserted that the Red Devils’ new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe might fancy his chance of winning the race for Todibo, given his connections with Nice.

Tottenham’s interest in Todibo would have ended when they decided to sign Radu Dragusin in January. The club will probably pursue a younger and cheaper centre-back this summer, with Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori likely to be a tempting option for the Lilywhites.
