Report: Spurs could return with another offer for Barcelona midfielder

According to Spanish publication Sport, Tottenham could make a move for Barcelona midfielder Lucas de Vega.

De Vega, who came through the ranks at La Masia, shone during his loan spell with Spanish second-tier side Cartagena during the 2019/20 season and had another solid campaign with Barcelona B last year after returning to his parent club.

Sport reveals the Catalan giants could cash in on the highly-rated central midfielder, who has just 12 months left on his contract.

The report explains that Tottenham made ‘a great offer’ for the 21-year-old last summer but Barca decided to hang on to the midfielder.

The North London club have been backed to make another attempt for De Vega when the transfer market opens in the summer.

The report adds that Spurs could face competition for the Barcelona youngster’s signature, with a couple of Spanish second division sides also enquiring about the midfielder’s availability this summer.
