Report: Spurs could sell surplus to requirements £23m signing for around £17m

Bayer Leverkusen still have Serge Aurier on their transfer radar ahead of the new season, according to the Metro.

The Bundesliga outfit have funds to spend after selling Kai Havertz to Chelsea for an initial £62million fee, which could amount to £71million in the future with add-ons.

Aurier has also been heavily linked with a move to AC Milan, however, talks between Spurs and the Serie A outfit have experienced issues with both clubs remaining some way apart in their respective valuations (Sky Sports).

Tottenham moved earlier in the window to increase their options at right-back following the sale of Kyle Walker-Peters by recruiting Matt Doherty from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Leverkusen are also said to be considering a move for Hector Bellerin from North London rivals Arsenal.

The report claims that Aurier could be available for a fee of around £17million after being deemed as surplus to requirements by Jose Mourinho, while Bellerin is likely to cost in the region of £35million.
