Report: Spurs could submit strong proposal to tempt defender into summer move

Tottenham could try to convince Gleison Bremer into joining the club this summer by making a strong offer to Torino, according to Tutto Juve.

Brazilian centre-back Bremer is said to be high up on Spurs’ list of transfer targets (The Telegraph) having been impressed with his assured displays for the Granata this term.

Spurs’ managing director of football Fabio Paratici is also reportedly a fan of the 24-year-old, with CalcioMercato previously claiming the chief is keen on luring him to north London.

Bremer, though, still has plenty of interest across Serie A with Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan all credited as being possible destinations for him at the end of the season.

But Tutto Juve now reports that Tottenham, who are ‘dominant’ in the race, could try to one-up their competitors by submitting a ‘good proposal’ to Torino to land the defender ahead of them.

The report confirms the three aforementioned Serie A sides are remain the running for Bremer, but are also joined by Manchester United who have only recently expressed an interest.

Bremer has turned out 24 times for Torino this term and has played a key role in the side conceding the third fewest goals in the Italian top-flight (Transfermarkt).

As expected, Bremer is attracting plenty of interest from sides in Italy and around Europe, so it is going to be a tough fight to secure him.

He could be excellent in Conte’s system, but ultimately if Tottenham are convinced and really want him, they have to submit an offer that’s good enough to tempt Torino into a transfer.
