InterLive have reported that Tottenham could ‘succeed in offering’ Borussia Mönchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram a four-year contract to make the switch to North London.
The attacker sees his contract run down in the summer of 2023 and he ‘remains a clear objective’ of Tottenham and Antonio Conte, as well as Inter Milan and Juventus.
CalcioMercato reported of the interest from those two Serie A sides this week, while adding that Spurs could move in a ‘blitz’ to beat out the competition.
BILD also reported that Tottenham are interested in a deal for the striker and could look to make a bid in January rather than waiting for him to become available on a free.
InterLive now state that Spurs could offer a four-year contract on €5m per year after tax. While Inter Milan remain keen, the report claims the Nerazzurri are at risk of ‘being sensationally mocked’ by Tottenham.
Spurs Web Opinion:
Tottenham could do with one more class option who can play both up front and on the right side of a three, so Thuram would certainly be an effective and cheap option. However, Spurs need to make sure they get their January signings on the money as they did last year.
