Tottenham could reportedly move for PSG defender Thomas Meunier in the summer if they fail to complete a deal to sign Norwich City full-back Max Aarons.
Spurs have reportedly made Aarons one of their top targets in the summer according to Football Insider.
Football.London claim that should the Canaries demand too much for the young defender, Spurs may consider Munier as a more cost effective option.
The 28-year-old has not only played with Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld for Belgium but he has also shared a dressing room with Lucas Moura, Serge Aurier and Giovani Lo Celso at PSG.
Meunier has been a regular for PSG at right-back since moving to the French capital in 2016 but it is revealed that his contract with the Ligue 1 giants is running out in the summer.
While the experienced defender will reportedly have a lot of options as a free agent, Spurs are said to have earmarked him as a potential option.

It doesn’t make much sense that Meunier would be our back up to Aarons given that both players have completely different profiles, not only in terms of their age and experience but also their style of play. I would expect the club to very much continue their policy of buying for the future. So if the Aarons deal doesn’t work out, we could go for someone like Nathan Ferguson or Djed Spence.
