Report: Spurs could take advantage of Nottingham Forest finances to sign another star

According to talkSPORT, Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a summer move for Morgan Gibbs-White after Nottingham Forest’s financial issues came to light.

Forest have been hit with a four-point deduction after breaching the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules and it has now been reported by talkSPORT that the club would have to sell some of their players this summer in order to avoid more sanctions.

It is explained that they could thus decide to cash in on Gibbs-White, who is considered their most valuable asset at the moment.

Tottenham keeping an eye on Morgan Gibbs-White

According to the outlet, Spurs are keeping a close eye on the situation and are considering making a move for the 24-year-old when the transfer window opens in June.

It is suggested that Ange Postecoglou is an admirer of the Englishman and that Tottenham have a good relationship with Forest, having successfully struck a deal for Brennan Johnson last summer.

The publication adds that Spurs are also facing competition from West Ham, who have allegedly identified Gibbs-White as a potential replacement for Manchester City target Lucas Paqueta.
