According to Fichajes, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler and could use Bryan Gil as a bargaining chip to sign the 25-year-old.

The report claims that Valencia are ‘very concerned’ about Soler’s future as the midfielder’s contract runs out in the summer of 2023.

The La Liga club’s attempts to renew his contract are said to be proving much more complicated than expected and the player is thought to be edging closer to an exit from Mestalla.

The report adds that Antonio Conte is keen on bolstering his midfield options in the summer and Soler fits the profile of player that the Italian is looking for.

With Los Che being keen on snapping up Bryan Gil, it is explained that the 21-year-old could be offered to the La Liga club as part of a deal to bring Soler to North London.

Meanwhile, Juventus are said to be keen on signing a box-to-box midfielder in the summer, with the Valencia star thought to be one of the options on their radar.

Finally, West Ham United are also alleged to be looking at Soler as an option to replace Declan Rice if the England international leaves in the summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

There is no doubt that Conte will want to upgrade his midfield ranks in the summer and Soler would be an exciting signing.

However, I cannot see Tottenham cashing in on Bryan Gil this summer as the youngster’s potential is there for all to see.

Perhaps, Spurs will use the option of extending Gil’s loan spell at the Mestalla as part of their negotiations with Valencia over a deal for Soler.
