Report: Spurs dealt injury blow after player underwent scan earlier today

Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt an injury blow with reports claiming that Sergio Reguilon is expected to miss the next three weeks of action.

The Evening Standard claimed that the Spanish international suffered a muscular injury and underwent a scan earlier today to learn of the extent of the injury.

Reguilon was an unnamed substitute during Monday night’s FA Cup fourth round tie at Wycombe Wanderers and will now miss tomorrow’s match against champions Liverpool.

The report claims that fellow left-back Ben Davies is considered doubtful to face Jurgen Klopp’s side at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after the Welshman came off in injury time against Wycombe with a niggle.

Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho revealed at today’s press conference that he has injury problems ahead of the fixture but refused to disclose any further details after only naming Dele Alli as a player who is sidelined.

Reguilon’s three-week timeframe would also see him miss upcoming fixtures against the likes of Brighton, Chelsea, and Manchester City.
