The Daily Mail have played down the chances of Leeds United landing Joe Rodon, revealing that several Premier League sides are now watching the centre-back closely.

Rodon’s dream of winning promotion with Leeds was shattered a couple of days ago when the club fell to a 1-0 loss to Southampton in the playoff final.
Daniel Farke’s men have thus been consigned to spending another 12 months in the Championship and that is expected to have an impact on the on-loan Tottenham man’s future.
According to The Daily Mail, Leeds would now need to sell some players before they can buy, with the club needing to offset losses of over £100m.
As a result, the publication hints that a deal to sign the Wales international permanently from Tottenham is unlikely to materialise this summer.

The report also adds that several top-flight clubs are now monitoring the 26-year-old’s situation ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Mail are not the first to carry this information, with TEAMtalk claiming last month that multiple Premier League sides are eyeing Rodon, who is alleged to be valued at between £12m to £15m by Spurs.

It sounds like Rodon would be beyond reach for Leeds and one would think that the centre-back’s head would be turned by Premier League interest, although he would need to be careful in choosing the right project to ensure that he gets game time.
