Report: Spurs defender set to sign new long-term contract tomorrow

Tottenham Hotspur are set to announce tomorrow that Japhet Tanganga has signed a new deal with the club.

Sky Sport Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the academy graduate will put pen to paper on fresh terms which will keep him in North London until 2024.

Tanganga is said to earn £1,000 a week with his current contract at Tottenham which is set to expire at the end of next season (Daily Mail).

The 21-year-old is said to be set to meet with club officials tomorrow to put pen to paper on the contract.

The central defender is to be offered an improved salary in the region of £15,000 a week, The Athletic reported earlier this month.

Tanganga has not featured for Jose Mourinho’s side following the restart of the Premier League campaign after suffering a stress fracture of his back but has been named among the substitutes for the last four matches without making an appearance (transfermarkt).
