Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that the negotiations between Tottenham and AC Milan for Japhet Tanganga could reach a breakthrough today.
Over the last 48 hours, multiple reports from Italy have suggested that Milan’s efforts to land Tanganga are gaining momentum.
According to CalcioMercato, amid Napoli’s interest in the Spurs defender, Milan are ‘ready to sink a blow’ for the 23-year-old over the coming days.
The report revealed that the Serie A champions are hoping to agree on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy the defender permanently.
Italian journalist Daniele Longo subsequently revealed that Fabio Paratici has flown to Italy Tanganga’s potential move to Milan, with a meeting with the Serie A club’s hierarchy set for Thursday.
However, Di Marzio has now suggested that a breakthrough could happen a lot sooner, with the Tottenham man’s agent set to fly to Italy today to meet with the Rossoneri hierarchy.
He adds that the negotiations between the parties are set to proceed and that there could be a ‘turning point in the next few hours’.
