Report: Spurs defending close to agreeing loan move with option on permanent deal

Juan Foyth is reportedly close to heading out of the exit door at Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the transfer window closing next week.

AS report that the Argentine international is close to securing a move to Villarreal with talks between Tottenham and the La Liga side having said to have progressed well.

Villarreal, who are managed by former Arsenal boss Unai Emery stole a march on the likes of Valencia after registering their interest in the Spurs stopper at an early stage.

The 22-year-old will reportedly sign a season-long loan deal with includes the option to make the deal permanent.

Foyth has struggled for game time since Jose Mourinho took over from Mauricio Pochettino last November and is yet to make an appearance so far this season (transfermarkt).

The former Estudiantes player has found himself low down in the central defensive pecking order behind the likes of Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld, Japhet Tanganga and Davinson Sanchez.
