The Tottenham Hotspur medical staff discovered that Gareth Bale was carrying an injury upon his arrival at the club’s training ground earlier today.

Spanish news outlet Marca claim that the Real Madrid winger will miss at least the next four weeks of action for Spurs due to an unspecified injury after undergoing an assessment at Hotspur Way.

The Welsh international made the journey from Madrid to Luton airport on Tottenham’s private jet along with left-back Sergio Reguilon earlier this morning to tie up his return to the North Londoners on a season-long loan deal, seven years after departing.

The 31-year-old originally joined Spurs from Southampton in 2007 before moving to the La La champions for a what was at the tie a world record £85m in 2013.

Bale found himself marginalised under Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane and spent the last two years struggling to get in the side.

Spurs were set to put Bale on intensive training regime for the next month to get his fitness levels up, but it now remains to be seen whether this will have to be delayed (Daily Mail).

  1. So Bale has arrived injured. Kane is playing for England so it’s just a matter of time before he’s out. We may have them both ouit moost of the fall.. I sure hope Daniel Levy has a “return of damaged goods clause in the Bale deal.

I sure hope Daniel Levy has a “return of damaged goods clause in the Bale deal. I hope Bale can make a contribution but it’s a slippery slope, especially with Kane playing far below his best.

  3. This is not a crazy discovery, it was known days ago that bale was injured, before he even flew to tottenham, what baffles me is that we have him on a season loan, straight away he’s out for a month, man maybe golf is what he should be doing because as far as i can see, he doesn’t wanna play football, he just wants money, any manager or team with half a brain cell would tell this lad to piss off, i love bale and delighted hes back but why do spurs always, and sometimes at their own fault, get the shit end of the stick, no wonder madrid wanted him gone, he hasnt been playing regular football in a very long time so how is he injured? Muscles gone into shock that they might have to move again?? Pathetic
