The Sun have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur expect Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso to stay put in January.
Over the last few weeks, there has been plenty of speculation linking Hojbjerg with a move to Juventus, with the Serie A giants alleged to have spoken to the midfielder’s entourage over a switch to the Allianz Stadium (CalcioMercato).
It has also emerged over recent days that Fulham could reignite their interest in the Dane amidst fears that they could lose Joao Palhinha (90 min).
Meanwhile, some Spanish outlets have suggested that Real Betis and Barcelona could once again make moves for Lo Celso in January after their failed attempts to sign him in the summer (Estadio Deportivo).
Hojbjerg and Lo Celso expected to stay at Spurs
The Sun have now claimed that Tottenham will hang on to both Lo Celso and Hojbjerg unless they receive offers that are too good to turn down or if either player pushes to leave.
It is revealed that the current expectation at Hotspur Way is that both midfielders will stay at the club until next summer.
With Tottenham set to be without Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr during AFCON, they are not thought to be actively looking to sell either Hojbjerg or Lo Celso.
Spurs Web Opinion
I see Lo Celso remaining at Tottenham, particularly if the Argentine gets a run of games under his belt over the next few weeks, with Maddison out injured.
However, I do expect Hojbjerg to push for a move as the former Saints star was seemingly desperate to leave last summer as well.
