Report: Spurs draft list of Man City players they would consider in potential Kane swap

According to The Daily Mail’s Ian Ladyman, Tottenham Hotspur could accept a swap deal with Manchester City for Harry Kane.

Kane’s future has been the main talking point in the back pages of UK publications for the last couple of weeks and that seems likely to be the case for the remainder of the summer.

It certainly will not be easy to prise the striker away from Tottenham, with some reports suggesting that Daniel Levy will demand close to £200m for the 27-year-old.

However, multiple sources (Sky Sports and The Sun) have claimed that Spurs have a contingency plan in place should they lose the England captain, with the likes of Danny Ings, Victor Osimhen and Ollie Watkins being mooted as potential replacements.

The Mail have now said that Kane remains high on Man City’s wishlist during this summer’s transfer window.

It is explained that Pep Guardiola’s men are intent on snapping up Jack Grealish from Aston Villa and one of either Kane or Erling Haaland.

Spurs are said to have compiled a list of City players that they would consider as a part of any deal for Kane.

Spurs Web Opinion

On the face of it, a swap deal with City for Kane would make sense since several of City’s fringe players will improve our squad.

However, one must take speculation regarding swap deals with a pinch of salt as Spurs rarely complete those deals.

It would be difficult enough for City to reach an agreement with Levy over Kane’s valuation, let alone agreeing on the valuations of multiple players with the Spurs chairman.
