Report: Spurs dressing room left divided over Mourinho claim

The Tottenham Hotspur dressing room has been left divided following Jose Mourinho’s comments on Sunday.

The Spurs head coach described the efforts of his players after witnessing them lose the opening match of the Premier League season to Everton as lazy.

The Daily Mail claim that some players took Mourinho’s comments as his way of trying to trigger a response while others are not so understanding.

Mourinho’s comments were echoed by Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville who was not impressed by what he saw from the home side.

The Portuguese highlighted his team’s lack of intensity without the ball in the final third as a key factor in the defeat.

Spurs left-back Ben Davies claimed after the loss at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium that his team-mates worked hard during the defeat to the Toffees.

The North Londoners have a quick turnaround to put the performance behind them when they travel to Bulgaria for Thursday night’s Europa League qualifier against Lokomotiv Plovdiv.
