Tottenham Hotspur have ended their interest in appointing Antonio Conte as their new head coach, according to the The Telegraph’s Matt Law.
Other journalists are also reporting a similar theme this evening with The Evening Standard’s Dan Kilpatrick claiming that the appointment of the Italian is not happening as things stand.
Sky Sports reported earlier that the 51-year-old is unconvinced that Tottenham are ready to win trophies immediately, despite the fact that there would be no immediate pressure from the board for him to end their thirteen-year weight.
Spurs had also been linked with a sensational return for Mauricio Pochettino, however Alasdair Gold claimed last night that there was no prospect of the Argentine heading back to North London with Paris Saint-Germain unprepared to lose their manager.
