Report: Spurs enquire over signing Swansea City striker – 18 months left on his contract

Tottenham Hotspur could be without Harry Kane for well over a month now, after the striker picked up a nasty injury on New Year’s Day against Southampton.

Kane managed to tear his hamstring while tapping home a finish from an offside position against the Saints, before retreating down the tunnel for treatment.

The Sun then reported that Kane would be out for four to six weeks, while Football London claimed it could be multiple months on the sidelines for the England captain.

A report has now named Andre Ayew as a potential target to come in and fill the Kane-shaped hole in Tottenham’s attack this month (GhanaSoccerNet).

Ayew has scored 11 goals in 25 games for Swansea City this season (TransferMarkt) and is said to be happy at his current club, but the report also says that move to Spurs would be hard for him to turn down.

The striker has just 18 months left on his contract in Wales.
