Report: Spurs expected to bring in another forward if Paratici signing departs

The Athletic have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are expected to make sign another attacker before the transfer window closes if Bryan Gil completes a move to Valencia.

Antonio Conte reiterated in his post-match press conference on Saturday that Spurs would need to bring replacements in if any more players leave and suggested that the club agreed with his assessment (Football.London).

Apart from Harry Winks and Sergio Reguilon, who have both been frozen out by Conte (Daily Mail), Bryan Gil has also been linked with a move away from the club.

Fabrizio Romano revealed last week that the 21-year-old is expected to re-sign for Valencia on loan while Gennaro Gauttso subsequently admitted that Los Che “are working” on a deal to sign the winger (InsideFutbol).

The Atheltic have now stated that Gil is expected to return to the Mestalla and that Spurs will look to sign another attacker to replace the 21-year-old.

The report suggests that the Lilywhites could either go after a creative number ten or a wide-attacker.

As things stand, Malinovski appears to be the player who is most likely to replace Gil. The Ukrainian will be able to feature as an eight, ten or even out wide and would thus give Conte a lot of tactical flexibility. He is also likely to be content with a bit-part role at Spurs.
