Report: Spurs expected to ‘come with an offer’ for 24-year-old this summer

Fotomac have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are now expected to launch their opening offer for Fenerbahce midfielder Sebastian Szymanski.

Szymanski’s outstanding form in Turkey this season has seen an increasing number of reports suggest over recent weeks that the attacking midfielder is set for a big move this summer.

Tottenham are thought to have expressed an interest in the 24-year-old, with Fanatik claiming last week that the Lilywhites have identified the player as a potential replacement for Giovani Lo Celso.

Meanwhile, Damga Gazetesi reported a couple of days ago that Ange Postecoglou’s men have been joined by Bayer Leverkusen, Napoli and Sevilla in the race for the Poland international, who was alleged to be valued at around €30m (£25.8m).

Spurs expected to make an offer for Szymanski

Fotomac have now provided an update on Tottenham’s pursuit of Szymanski, asserting that the Premier League side have now ‘opened their purse strings’ to sign the player.

The report says that Spurs will ‘come with an offer’ of €20m (£17m) for the midfielder, whose fine displays in Istanbul have allegedly convinced the English club.

However, the publication does not mention how such an offer would be received by the Yellow Canaries and whether there is a chance of it being accepted.

Spurs Web Opinion

Unlike the speculation linking Spurs to the likes of Ederson, Gudmundsson, Adariboyo, Gimenez and others, no English outlet has made any mention of Tottenham’s interest in Szymanski. All the reports are coming from Turkey, which is why we will have to wait and watch if this story has any legs.
