Report: Spurs eye towering 24-year-old striker as potential Harry Kane replacement

Tottenham are reportedly targeting Almeria striker Umar Sadiq as a potential replacement for Harry Kane, according to Fichajes.

The 24-year-old signed for the Spanish side last summer and hit the ground running in La Liga 2, notching a stellar 20 goals and seven assists in 38 appearances.

He has carried that momentum into the new campaign and currently has six goals and three assists in just eight games in the second tier.

Sadiq’s form has reportedly captured the attention of Tottenham, who reportedly see the Nigerian striker as an option to replace Harry Kane, should he depart North London in the near future.

The report outlines the fact that Spurs have been keeping tabs on the Nigerian striker through a data consulting company after being alerted to his impressive form.

It also references the fact that Sadiq currently has a release clause in his contract worth €60 million (£51m), but Almeria would be willing to part ways with him for around €30 million (£25.5m).

Sadiq is built in the profile of a target man, but is described as having a quick burst of pace and good control of the ball, despite his height standing at six feet and four inches.

Sadiq appears to be enjoying life in the second tier of Spanish football with Almeria, and boasts a very good scoring record after just one season. He is a relatively unknown option, but will no doubt pick up potential suitors if he continues to build on his impressive form.
