Report: Spurs face battle for English star as new club joins the race

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Ryan Sessegnon for around a year now, with reports suggesting the North London side were after him last summer (Standard).

Sessegnon set the Championship alight in the 2017/18 season, but struggled to adapt to Premier League life with relegated Fulham last campaign.

With Fulham back in the Championship and Sessegnon having just one year left on his current contract, it is no surprise that the links to Spurs have resurfaced.

Sessegnon is said to fancy a move to Spurs due to the London location and the fact that Pochettino often develops young English talent well (Guardian). You need only look at Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Harry Winks, and co.

However, Tuttosport have now reported that Italian side Inter Milan have joined the race for the young English star, who is currently representing his country in the U21 Euros.

The Sun reported that Spurs could snap Sessegnon up for just £25m this summer, but a bidding war will not help matters for the North London side.
