Report: Spurs face competition from Serie A duo and PSG for 19-year-old

According to Corriere dello Sport (04/12/22 as relayed by A Bola), the interest in rumoured Tottenham target Antonio Silva is mounting ahead of the January transfer window.

The centre-back, who started for Portugal in their final group stage clash against South Korea, is thought to be on Spurs’ wishlist, with GiveMeSport reporting last month that the North London club are eyeing the 19-year-old as an alternative to Alessandro Bastoni.

Corriere now state that Juventus also have their eye on Silva while Napoli and Paris Saint-Germain are set to enter the race for the Benfica star.

The report explains that Napoli view the teenager as a potential replacement for Kim Min-Jae as they fear the centre-back will leave the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

Interestingly, reports from Italy over recent months have claimed that Spurs are one of the clubs who hold an interest in the South Korean (CMW.it).

Silva has a bright future ahead of him, given the composure and maturity he is showing at the highest level, despite being only 19 years of age. However, Conte will likely want a more established and proven centre-back to replace Japhet Tanganga (and potentially Davinson Sanchez) in January.
