The Evening Standard have revealed that it is unclear if Clement Lenglet will be granted a visa in time to join Tottenham’s pre-season tour of South Korea.
Spanish publication Sport reported yesterday that Tottenham were keen to get the Lenglet loan deal agreed quickly so that the centre-back could travel with the rest of the Spurs squad to South Korea.
The Evening Standard have now confirmed that it is only a matter of time before the move is officially announced after the centre-back stayed overnight at Hotspur Way on Thursday.
The report states that the 27-year-old is now continuing to undertake his medical ahead of sealing the transfer, with the formalities of a work permit and international clearance pending.
It is explained that Spurs are also unsure if Lenglet will be granted a visa in time to fly out with his new Tottenham teammates to South Korea.
A squad of up to 30 players are expected to board their flight to Seoul on Saturday evening following a round of Covid testing at the training ground today.

Even if a visa is not sorted quick enough for Lenglet to fly to South Korea with the Spurs squad tomorrow, one would not expect it to take more than a couple of days. So, the Frenchman will likely be flown out to Korea to join up with the squad once he receives his visa.
