Report: Spurs fans may soon be unable to attend games or watch them in pubs

The Times have now reported that all Premier League matches are likely soon to be played behind closed doors due to the spread of the coronavirus.

The report adds that postponing the season is not currently in the plans of the governing bodies, as they hope to play it out without fans in attendance.

Games will also not be shown in pubs to avoid the congregating of large numbers of people for the remainder of the season.

It is said that the current 3 pm broadcasting blackout is unlikely to be lifted, even if no one is able to attend the games themselves. Season ticket holders may be granted live-stream access to matches.

The Times claim that the above measures will be implemented once the number of cases in the UK rises above 500, with the BBC reporting figures at 596 today.

The Liverpool Echo claim that the Premier League have informed them they will be following government advice on the matter but do not yet know of any of these alleged plans.
