CaughtOffside have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are expected to push ahead with a concrete move for Gent’s Gift Orban over the coming days.
Since Harry Kane’s move to Bayern Munich was officially confirmed a couple of days ago, the speculation linking Orban with a move to Spurs has gone into hyperdrive.
The Athletic reported on Saturday that Tottenham’s scouts have kept a close eye on the 21-year-old and that the North London club are of the belief that an offer of £20m plus add-ons would be enough to secure the striker’s services.
Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri revealed on the same day that talks between Spurs and Gent over Orban are ongoing through intermediaries, with the Premier League side expected to submit a written offer this week.
Spurs move expected in days for Gift Orban
Tavolieri’s claim has now been backed up by CaughtOffside, who say that a first concrete move from Tottenham could arrive ‘in the coming days’.
The publication asserts that Spurs’ interest in Orban is ‘very real’, with the youngster now having jumped up the club’s shortlist in terms of priorities.
It is asserted that the Belgian side have made it clear that only offers of at least £25.8m would be considered for the Nigerian.

All indications are that the Orban deal would be completed by the end of this week. It will be interesting to see how Tottenham spend the rest of the Kane money.
Apart from needing reinforcements at centre-back and central midfield, I expect the Lilywhites to make one more attacking signing, potentially Brennan Johnson.
