Tottenham are starting to receive interest from a host of sides in the Championship for Troy Parrott but are keen to keep hold of the striker, according to Football League World.

The 19-year-old has found solace at MK Dons in League One this season, on the back of two disappointing and frustrating loan spells with Millwall and Ipswich Town last season.

He has registered nine starts in the league for Liam Manning’s side, tallying three goals and three assists for the high-flying Buckinghamshire outfit.

Football League World claim Parrott’s recent form has now led to Spurs ‘fielding enquiries’ from a number of Championship sides over his availability next season.

However, Spurs are said to not be willing to pursue any other moves, both loan or permanent, for the Ireland international, and are looking to progress him into the first-team in a similar manner to Harry Kane.

Kane also went through a tough period out on loan with the likes of Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich and Leicester before making his stunning breakthrough into the club’s senior team.

Spurs clearly have Parrott high up in their estimations, and Kane’s success gives the club a clear vision of how they want to model his development. His loan spell is going well this season, and we can only hope he continues to progress.
