Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are now eyeing a move for Eintracht Frankfurt centre-back William Pacho.
Tottenham have strengthened their backline with the acquisition of Radu Dragusin this month but they have allowed Eric Dier to leave the club while Ashley Phillips has been loaned out.
It has now emerged that Spurs have an eye on another central defensive addition in the form of Pacho, although he is thought to be viewed as a target for next summer.
The 22-year-old joined Frankfurt last summer on the back of an outstanding season for Royal Antwerp in 2022-23.
The Ecuador international has hit the ground running since his switch to Germany, having started every single Bundesliga game so far this season (Transfermarkt).

Tottenham are now keen on William Pacho
If Tavolieri’s latest update is to be believed, Pacho’s performances have caught the attention of Spurs, who have now allegedly expressed a ‘strong interest’ in the player.
The journalist claims that the North London club have ‘taken information’ about the centre-back and have sent scouts to Germany on multiple occasions this season to watch him in action.
He adds that Ange Postecoglou’s men are expected to face competition from other Premier League sides for Pacho’s services next summer.

The decision on whether to pursue another centre-back next summer will likely come down to whether Postecoglou deems Ashley Phillips to be ready to challenge for a first-team spot next season. Spurs will be keeping a close eye on the 18-year-old’s progress at Port Vale.
