Report: Spurs have agreed personal terms with star Paratici wants to sign

The Daily Mail have reported that Tottenham Hotspur have now agreed personal terms with defensive target, Takehiro Tomiyasu.

The report claims that Fabio Paratici, the new managing director of football in North London, is ‘especially keen’ on bringing the Japanese defender to Tottenham.

While the Daily Mail admit that Spurs and Bologna are still apart in their valuations of the player, the report claims that personal terms are now complete.

Sky Sports reported last week that Spurs had an initial bid rejected by Bologna, worth around £12.9m plus £2.6m in add-ons. The Italian club are said to be looking for £17.2m in total.

Spurs struggled at both centre-back and right-back last season, with Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez, Serge Aurier and Matt Doherty all enduring inconsistent campaigns.

Spurs Web Opinion:

This looks nailed on to be our first piece of summer activity and it also looks to be a great signing. He can play centre-back and right-back, as well as presumably on the right side of a back three. From what I hear, he is also a very capable defender, something we desperately need.
