Report: Spurs have ‘asked to be kept informed’ about 22-year-old’s future

According to 90 min, Tottenham Hotspur are tracking Middlesbrough star Isaiah Jones ahead of the summer transfer window.

Jones has been in exceptional form for Boro this season, having registered nine assists in the Championship so far (Transfermarkt).

The 22-year-old shone in the right wing-back role as Chris Wilder’s side dumped Tottenham out of the FA Cup last week.

90 min reveal that Spurs were so impressed by Jones’ showing at right wing-back that they are now tracking him ahead of the summer and have asked to be kept informed about his future.

However, it is explained that Antonio Conte’s men are not the only ones interested in the Boro star, with the likes of Manchester United, West Ham and Crystal Palace, Brighton and Brentford all watching him closely.

In addition, Atletico Madrid, Ajax and RB Leipzig are also thought to be keeping an eye on his performances.

90 min add that Jones’ future could also depend on where Boro finish this season as the youngster would be willing to stay at the Riverside Stadium if the club secure promotion to the Premier League.

Spurs Web Opinion

A right wing-back is likely to be at the top of Tottenham’s wishlist in the summer and even though Jones does not have a lot of experience playing in the position, like Traore, Conte might think that the youngster has the attributes to develop into the role.

I also think that Matt Doherty seems more likely to stay at Spurs next season than Emerson Royal if Conte sticks with his current system as the Brazilian simply does not seem to offer anything going forward.
