Report: Spurs have been calling player’s camp every day to push for right-back target

Football Insider have now reported that Tottenham are stepping up their pursuit of young English right-back, Max Aarons, who has starred for Norwich City this season.

Aarons is said to be one of the club’s leading targets to fill the right-back spot in the long-term, currently occupied by Serge Aurier.

The report goes as far as to say that a representative from Tottenham has been calling Aarons’ camp every day to convince him to join the Lilywhites.

Spurs have apparently been watching the player closely over the last two seasons and feel that he has the capabilities to play for a top Premier League club.

Spurs currently only have Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters at right-back in North London, although the latter could be on his way this month according to Football Insider.

Aarons only signed a new five-year deal with Norwich in July 2019, but his side are now bottom of the Premier League, so could Spurs tempt him away?
