The Daily Mail have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have had a keen eye on the development of Everton starlet Ishe Samuels-Smith.
Samuels-Smith joined Everton’s academy at the Under-9s level and has worked his way up through the age group ranks, with the left-back having played 15 times for in Premier League 2 and eight times in the Under-18 Premier League during the 2022-23 campaign (Transfermarkt).
Tottenham and Chelsea both like Samuels-Smith
Although the 17-year-old has not made his senior debut for the Toffees yet, he was named on the bench for their Carabao Cup clash against Bournemouth in November of last year.
The Mail claim that Samuels-Smith’s performance for Everton’s youth sides have impressed several Premier League clubs, with Tottenham and Chelsea said to have closely followed his development last season.
It is explained that the Blues are now weighing up an offer for the left-back during the current transfer window while Manchester City are also said to be monitoring the teenager’s situation.

Selling Tottenham as a destination for up-and-coming youngsters would now be much easier than it was under Conte and Mourinho, given that Postecoglou has a reputation for trusting young players and backing them with first-team opportunities.
