Report: Spurs have been ‘looking at’ Lille winger in summer scouting

Sky Sports have reported that Tottenham have been looking at Lille winger, Jonathan Bamba as part their summer scouting with Fabio Paratici now at the helm.

The report claims that with Bale returning to Real Madrid after his loan spell in North London comes to an end, Spurs could be on the lookout for a winger who can play off the right.

Sky Sports revealed three names that Spurs have been looking at, including Bamba, Stuttgart’s Nicolas Gonzalez, and Emiliano Buendia, who recently swapped Norwich City for fellow Premier League side Aston Villa.

The report adds that the North London club have also been looking at other right wingers this summer as they plot their summer transfer moves.

As things stand, Spurs have the likes of Erik Lamela, Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura who can play off the right, but no standout star to occupy the position as Gareth Bale did at times.

We have plenty of wide players but at times they lack the ablity to either play a killer pass to a team-mate or to be able to heavily contribute to the goalscoring burden on Heung-min Son and Harry Kane’s shoulders.

Lamela has had plenty of time at the club to try and make an impact but unfortunately injuries have played their part and he should be one who is considered available for sale this summer.
