Report: Spurs have contacted 20-year-old centre-back’s representatives

According to Revolo journalist Marcos Duran, Tottenham Hotspur have contacted the representatives of Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Piero Hincapie regarding a possible move to North London this summer.

Hincapie has won several admirers in his first season in the Bundesliga following his move to Leverkusen from South America 12 months ago.

The Sun reported two weeks ago that Tottenham are ready to turn their attention to the 20-year-old after admitting defeat in their pursuit of Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni.

The report added that Spurs have been informed that they would have to pay £34m for the Ecuador international.

When asked this week about Tottenham’s interest in the Ecuador international, Leverkusen’s director of sport Simon Rolfes chose to keep his cards close to his chest, pointing out that the centre-back has a long contract at BayArena (Kicker).

Duran has now taken to social media to reveal that Antonio Conte’s men and AC Milan have both contacted Hincapie’s entourage.

The journalist added that Leverkusen are holding talks with the youngster regarding an improved contract.
