Report: Spurs have held ‘concrete talks’ with central defender over transfer

Sky Sports in Germany have now reported that Tottenham have held concrete talks with Bayern Munich central defender, Jerome Boateng ahead of a potential summer move.

This comes just a few days after the Bayern Munich sporting director, Hasan Salihamidzic revealed that Boateng would not be signing a new contract with the German club.

In the 2021 winter transfer window, both sides of North London were said to be interested in the experienced German centre-back.

Boateng has won a World Cup with his nation, as well as eight Bundesliga titles in Germany and two Champions League titles amongst an array of other silverware.

This week, Christian Falk also revealed that Boateng remains on Tottenham’s list of targets ahead of the summer transfer window, with the defender set to be available on a free.

Sky Sports Germany reporter, Max Bielefeld, claimed that Spurs have an ‘interest’ in the experienced centre-half and have already held ‘concrete talks’ with him.
