Report: Spurs have identified three potential Eriksen replacements

Tottenham Hotspur have already identified replacements for Christian Eriksen should the Dane leave the club this month (Football.London).

Eriksen, who will be a free agent in the summer, has been linked heavily with a move to Inter Milan and reports over the last few days suggesting that it is only a matter of time before the deal is completed (ESPN).

Jose Mourinho has denied that Spurs have had a bid from Inter for Eriksen and insisted that nothing had changed regarding the 27-year-old’s situation (Football.London).

However, Football.London report that the Lilywhites expect the former Ajax man to leave this month and are keen on bringing in a replacement.

Young Norwich City midfielder Todd Cantwell is said to be on Tottenham’s radar after impressing in his first Premier League season while the club are also said to be keeping tabs on Ajax pair Hakim Ziyech and Donny van de Beek.

Spurs Web Opinion

I don’t expect us to bring in a replacement for Eriksen this month. He won’t be much of a miss anyway as he has been poor at least for the last year or so. I believe we have enough options to cope until the end of the season. Hopefully, Giovani Lo Celso will get more opportunities to show what he can do if the Dane leaves.
