Report: Spurs have informed one defender that he can leave in the summer

HITC report that Tottenham Hotspur have informed Joe Rodon that he would be allowed to leave the club permanently at the end of this season.

Rodon has been exceptional on loan at Leeds so far this season and his performances have reportedly attracted the attention of several top-flight clubs.

This was the information carried by TEAMtalk, who claimed a couple of days ago that Leeds would have to battle multiple Premier League sides for the centre-back’s signature in the summer.

Tottenham tell Joe Rodon his time is up

HITC have now said that Spurs have informed Rodon’s representatives that he will not be at Hotspur Way for the start of next season.

It is explained that the Welshman is no longer in Ange Postecoglou’s thinking after the arrival of Radu Dragusin from Genoa in January.

The 26-year-old’s four-year stay at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is thus expected to come to an end within the next few months.

It is explained that while clubs across Europe are interested in Rodon, the former Swansea man is very happy at Elland Road, with Daniel Farke’s side set to make a move for him irrespective of whether they win promotion.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is clear that Rodon’s time at Tottenham is up, with the only question being where he will end up in the summer. I suspect it would be quite difficult for Leeds to secure the centre-back if they do not bounce straight back up to the Premier League.
