Report: Spurs have ‘leading candidate’ in manager hunt – Backed by Levy and Paratici

The Daily Mail have now reported that Tottenham have a new ‘leading candidate’ in their manager hunt, out-of-work coach Nuno Espirito Santo.

Nuno recently parted ways with Wolves after a sub-par Premier League season but the Portuguese manager is said to have the backing of both Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici in North London.

However, the report also claims that Tottenham have been ‘giving serious thought’ to Brighton manager, Graham Potter, who impressed with his attacking flair last season.

Spurs have been without a manager since Levy and co sacked Jose Mourinho six days before the Carabao Cup Final back in April.

While Potter has been mentioned, the Daily Mail claim that it is Nuno’s name that is being talked about ‘most prominently’ at Tottenham this week.

Nuno is apparently attracted by the possibility of taking charge of Tottenham this summer, despite the fact he was originally expected to rejoin his family back in Portugal.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Personally, I would prefer Graham Potter, however, Spurs have probably left it too late to get Brighton to part ways with him. I can see Nuno coming in on a two-year deal. If he does well, they will extend. If he doesn’t Poch will come back in the next year or two.
