Tottenham Hotspur have left a number of their fans distressed this week at the exceedingly high prices of the upcoming Champions League match against Bayern.
Bayern Munich is Spurs’ first home game of the new Champions League campaign, with many keen on seeing their side take on one of the best teams in the world.
However, it looks as if the opportunity will come at a heavy cost, as the Standard claim that tickets for the match will cost adults between £52 and £98.
This comes as the match has been classed as a Category A event, with the other two matches in the group against Red Star Belgrade and Olympiacos ranked as Category C.
Once you factor in travel to the match and possibly food on the day, this turns into a very expensive night out for some Spurs fans, especially if they end up losing.
While Tottenham used to offer all three Champions League group stage matches in a cheaper bundle offer before the draw was made, they have scrapped it for the last two seasons.
Bayern ticket purchased… £120ish day out ? can safely say il probably just watch the other 2 on the box, and will continue to do that more till the club start giving back

Paid for a season ticket and thought it was pricey but it’s Tottenham so just handed the cash over, but not dropping £80 On a champions league game, and then still a few beers and food and then transport home , nah fuck that. I’ll watch and support from home. Taking the mick now!

I’m sorry but £80+ for Bayern is ridiculous….you’re looking at over £100 for a game of football. @SpursOfficial

Agree but if Levy & any other Chairman gets bums on seats they won't care. The benefits of TV money + tourist supporter revenues keeps the commercial juggernaut moving, but the soul is being ripped out. I'm a ST holder and never felt more distant from the Spurs I love!

Don’t blame you mate. I’ll have to get a night off work for it aswell, so I’ll already be missing out on money and then paying over £100..
