Report: Spurs have made an early loan offer to sign Real Madrid teenager

According to Okdiario, Tottenham Hotspur are seeking to sign Real Madrid sensation Arda Guler on a season-long loan deal next summer.

Guler is seen as one of the best young talents to come out of Turkish football over recent years, with the midfielder hitting the spotlight with his fabulous displays at Fenerbahce last season.

It was reported during last summer’s transfer window that Spurs had expressed an interest in the teenager (Chris Wheatley) but it was Real Madrid who won the race for the player, paying €30m (£25.6m) including add-ons to land him from Fenerbahce.

However, the 18-year-old has found game time hard to come by since his switch to the Santiago Bernabeu, with his only start so far this season coming in the Copa del Rey clash against Arandina.

Clubs now circling Arda Guler – Including Tottenham

If OkDiario’s latest update is to be believed, Spurs still retain an interest in Guler and are continuing to keep an eye on the player’s situation.

In fact, it is alleged that both the Lilywhites and Bayer Leverkusen have already offered to take the attacking midfielder on loan at the end of the season.

The report adds that if the Turkish international continues to struggle for minutes at the Spanish capital over the next few months, he might be tempted to take up one of the two loan offers.

Tottenham do not tend to sign players on straight loan deals, with Ange Postecoglou’s men likely to insist on adding an option to buy to any loan deal for Guler. It remains to be seen if Real Madrid would be open to such an arrangement.
