Report: Spurs have made ‘first concrete offer’ for 23-year-old striker

Algerian outlet DZ Foot report that Tottenham Hotspur have already begun their efforts to sign Royale Union Saint-Gilloise star Mohamed Amoura ahead of the summer transfer window.

Amoura has been the best striker on show in the Jupiler Pro League this season, having netted 22 times across all competitions so far this season (Transfermarkt).

Tottenham’s interest in the 23-year-old came to light last week when GiveMeSport suggested that the Lilywhites have been following the striker’s performances this season.

The outlet claimed that Ange Postecoglou’s men might face competition from Wolves and West Ham United for the Algerian international this summer.

Tottenham make offer for Mohamed Amoura

DZ Foot have now talked up the chances of Spurs winning the race for Amoura, suggesting that the Premier League side have already taken steps to sign the player.

It is said that the chances of the centre-forward leaving Union SG this summer are now growing, with the Belgian club alleged to have already received the ‘first concrete offer’ from Tottenham.

The update does not reveal any details about the value of Spurs’ bid but it is revealed that Union SG would want €20m (£17m) for the frontman.

Spurs Web Opinion

Not a single British outlet has suggested that Amoura is on Tottenham’s striker wishlist for this summer. This seems to be a case the Alergian’s representatives leaking these reports to the press in order to drum up interest in their client.
