Report: Spurs have made ‘preliminary moves’ to try and sign Premier League star

According to Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are set to make a move for Southampton right-back Tino Livramento in the summer transfer window.

The report claims that Antonio Conte has not been convinced by either Matt Doherty or Emerson Royal and that the North London club are prioritising a move for a right wing-back after missing out on Adama Traore in January.

Conte is said to be keen on signing a wing-back who can defend and attack with aplomb, and Tottenham’s managing director of football Fabio Paratici has allegedly identified Livarmento as the number one target.

It is revealed that Paratici has already made ‘preliminary moves’ to snap up the 19-year-old in the summer.

Football Insider add that it will take a ‘mega money’ deal to convince Southampton to part ways with Livarmento following his impressive showing at St Mary’s this season.

Spurs Web Opinion

Livarmento has been extremely impressive this season and the fact he is just 19 years of age means that he has plenty of room to grow.

His value is only likely to go up over the next few years and so, it might be a shrewd piece of business for Tottenham to move for the former Chelsea man this summer.
