UOL Esporte journalist Bruno Andrade claimed Tottenham Hotspur have begun talks with Monaco over a deal for Vanderson.

After months of negotiations, Emerson Royal finally completed a move to AC Milan on Monday and it looks like Spurs are wasting no time in looking for a replacement for the Brazilian.
According to Andrade, Tottenham have already begun work on a deal to sign Vanderson, who has emerged as one of the best attacking full-backs in Ligue 1 since his move to Monaco three years ago.
The journalist reveals that Ange Postecoglou‘s side have now opened discussions with a French club over a deal to take the 23-year-old to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
In fact, he adds that Monaco are now expecting an offer of around €40m (£34.2m) to arrive for Vanderson from the Premier League side.
This is not the first time we are hearing of Tottenham’s interest in the Brazil international, with various reports stating earlier this summer that the full-back was on Spurs’ wishlist (Football.London).

Perhaps Ange thinks that in Davies, Spence and Van de Ven, he has enough cover for Destiny Udogie at left-back, and is prioritising an understudy for Porro at right-back.
If Vanderson does arrive through the door, that would serve as confirmation that Postecoglou plans on using Archie Gray exclusively as a midfielder.
