Report: Spurs have offered player plus cash for 26-year-old striker

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly put money and players on the table in a bid to sign Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik, according to the latest reports from Italy.

Spurs are expected to be looking for a striker this summer to serve as a back up to Harry Kane and Milik is one of the players that the North Londoners have been linked with (CalcioNapoli24).

The Polish international has made just sixteen league appearances for Napoli this season, with many of those coming from the bench (transfermarkt).

Previous reports have indicated that the Serie A side want around £40 million to part ways with the 26-year-old (Express).

Tuttosport (as relayed by Sport Witness) have now offered an update on Tottenham’s chase for Milik while discussing Juventus’ interest in the striker.

The report claims that the Serie A champions face heavy competition from Spurs for Milik’s signature, with the North Londoners already having knocked on Napoli’s door to ask about the striker’s availability.

It is said that Spurs have even made a player plus cash offer for the centre-forward. However, it is not mentioned which players have been offered by Tottenham.

The report asserts that Napoli are demanding between €40m and €50m for the striker but Spurs are hoping to bring the price down by offering players in exchange.

Spurs Web Opinion

Among the strikers we have been linked with over the past couple of months, Milik, Patrik Schick and Vedat Muriqi make the most sense given that they fit the profile of what Jose is likely to be looking for. All three will be able to give us a plan B which the likes of Victor Osimhen and Memphis Depay would not.
