The 19-year-old has made 13 appearances in Premier League 2 this campaign with one goal and one assist to his name in addition to starting all six of the club’s matches in the UEFA Youth League, where he has two further goal contributions (Transfermarkt).

Mundle’s current deal expires next summer and Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that he is attracting the attention of a whole host of Bundesliga clubs, including Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Koln.

However, the journalist explained that Tottenham are keen to hang on to the Edmonton-born player and have thus begun negotiations with his entourage over a new contract.

Romano stated that the North London club have now offered a new deal to Mundle and are awaiting a response.

An increasing number of young English players are seeing the Bundesliga as an ideal route for their development since they are more likely to get regular first-team opportunities in Germany. Let us hope we do not lose Mundle as we did the likes of Dilan Markanday, Marcus Edwards and Noni Madueke.
