Report: Spurs have one advantage over Arsenal in race for Pedro Neto

TEAMtalk allege that Tottenham Hotspur have an advantage over Arsenal in the race for Pedro Neto as the Lilywhites have a good relationship with the agency that represents the Wolves star.

Over the last few weeks, multiple outlets have backed the two North London sides to go head-to-head for Neto’s signature when the transfer window reopens in June (The Sun).

A few days ago, journalist Ben Jacobs backed up that information, stating that he expects the 23-year-old to end up at either the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium or the Emirates in the summer (GiveMeSport).

Tottenham’s advantage over Arsenal in Pedro Neto race

TEAMtalk have now claimed that Spurs are set to push ahead with a move for Neto and have a ‘a good chance’ of beating their fierce rivals to the winger’s services.

This is because the Portuguese international is represented by Gestifute, who Tottenham have forged a good relationship with.

The outlet points out that Ange Postecoglou himself has dealt with Gestifute a few times over recent years, including when he took Jota to Celtic.

Finally, the publication adds that Wolves might be forced to cash in on Neto at the end of the season to ensure they comply with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules (PSR).

Realistically speaking, Tottenham have to qualify for the Champions League if they are to be an attractive destination for the likes of Neto, who is not going to have any shortage of interest in the summer.
