Report: Spurs have presented an early offer for midfielder with 12 goals this season

According to Aksam, Tottenham are intensifying their efforts to sign Sebastian Szymanski and have even presented an offer to Fenerbahce for the midfielder.

Szymanski has been Fenerbahce’s main attacking threat for much of the season and is posting some ridiculous numbers from midfield, having scored 12 goals and registered 18 assists across all competitions so far (Transfermarkt).

Over the past few weeks, various Turkish outlets have reported on Tottenham’s interest in the Poland international and have backed them to make an offer for the player (Fanatik).

Spurs make an offer for Sebastian Szymanski

Askam have now said that a total of nine clubs, including Spurs, have all spoken to Szymanski’s agent regarding a summer switch.

It is claimed that Ange Postecoglou’s men have now stepped in and intensified their efforts to sign the 25-year-old ahead of the summer.

In fact, the report alleges that the Lilywhites have already knocked on Fenerbahce’s door but the value of the bid is not revealed.

The publication adds that the Yellow Canaries hope to retain the attacking midfielder but should that not be possible, they would want a fee of around €20m (£17.2m) to sanction his sale.

Spurs Web Opinion

Szymanski has had an outstanding season and is destined to be snapped up by a bigger club this summer but the jury is out on whether the Poland international would be able to adjust to the demands and the quality of the Premier League.
