Report: Spurs have strong advantage over Man City in race for £55m-rated star

Football Transfers have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have a big advantage over the likes of Manchester City in the race for Eberechi Eze as the Crystal Palace star would prefer to remain in London.

Eze has had another impressive season at Selhurst Park and the attacking midfielder is now being backed to make a big move this summer.

Football Transfers have now backed up what we have heard from other sources over recent months by revealing that Tottenham are pushing ahead with a move for the player.

The outlet says that the 25-year-old’s family members have been invited as special guests of the club to the North London Derby on Sunday against Arsenal.

Spurs have an advantage over Man City in race for Eze

The report says that Eze is also of interest to Man City but Tottenham have an upper hand over Pep Guardiola’s men in the race.

This is because the Greenwich-born player would prefer to remain in the capital because of his family ties in the city.

The publication adds that Ange Postecoglou’s men may need to pay a fee of around €64m (£55m) to land the England international this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

Eze would be a huge coup for Tottenham as he is undoubtedly a player who can take this side to the next level. I suspect Postecoglou is eyeing the Palace star as an option for the number eight role rather than for the number ten role or left-wing.
